ABOUT
Idris Lamina
AI Solutions Consultant in London. Ten years at the point where enterprise software gets sold, implemented, and then actually used: pre-sales engineering, API integrations, and the long tail of delivery after the contract is signed.

Most of that time now goes on automation and AI systems, but the work is the same shape it always was. Understand the process, find the part that costs people their week, and replace it with something that runs reliably and can be audited when it goes wrong.
The consulting role and the building role feed each other. Shipping my own products means I carry the cost of my own architectural decisions, which tends to keep the advice honest.
What I do
- Consulting. Discovery on a process you already run, scoped against what automation can and cannot do. You get a written assessment either way, including when the answer is that software is not the problem.
- Building. Document automation, enrichment and CRM pipelines, approval-gated outreach agents, and voice agents. Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and the integration layer between them.
- Shipping products. I build and release my own tools rather than only advising on other people's.

How I work
- A human stays in the loop where it matters. Anything that sends, spends, or commits on someone's behalf gets an approval gate. Automation that removes the approval is a liability, not a feature.
- Everything important is logged. If a system made a decision, there is a record of what it saw, what it chose, and who reviewed it.
- I would rather tell you not to build it. Plenty of processes that look like automation candidates are documentation problems. Those are cheaper to fix, and I will say so.
